  • Wild Black Berries

Wild blackberries are a flavorful and nutrient-rich native fruit that ripens in late June through July, growing along fields, forests, and rural fence lines. Long foraged by Indigenous peoples and early settlers, they play a key role in the local ecosystem by feeding wildlife and providing habitat. These berries are packed with vitamin C, vitamin K, fiber, and antioxidants like anthocyanins, which help fight inflammation, support heart and brain health, and regulate blood sugar. Wild blackberries often have a richer flavor and higher antioxidant levels than cultivated varieties, making them a delicious and health-boosting treat, whether eaten fresh, turned into jam, or baked into cobblers.

  • Eggplant "Millionaire"

The Millionaire eggplant is a fast-growing, early-maturing Japanese variety known for its sleek appearance, tender texture, and mild flavor. This hybrid produces slender, elongated fruits—typically 8 to 10 inches long—with glossy, deep purple skin and creamy white flesh. Unlike larger globe eggplants, the Millionaire is nearly seedless and boasts a delicate, almost sweet flavor that cooks up beautifully in stir-fries, grilling, or roasting. It matures in as little as 55 to 60 days, making it one of the earliest-producing eggplants available. The plants are compact yet highly productive, often yielding abundant harvests throughout the growing season. They thrive in warm, sunny conditions and require well-drained soil and consistent moisture. Gardeners value the Millionaire not only for its prolific yields and quick turnaround but also for its ability to resist bitterness and produce uniform, high-quality fruits. This variety is a top choice for home gardeners and chefs seeking tender, flavorful eggplant with elegant presentation and versatility in the kitchen.

  • Athena

The Athena cantaloupe (or Athena melon) is a popular hybrid variety of muskmelon (Cucumis melo) known for its sweet flavor, firm texture, and excellent storage and shipping qualities. Typically round to oval in shape and weighing 5–7 pounds, it features a coarse, netted rind and deep orange, aromatic flesh with rich, honey-like flavor. Athena matures quickly—usually in 75–80 days from transplant—and offers strong resistance to Fusarium wilt and powdery mildew, making it a reliable choice for both home gardeners and commercial growers. Its tough rind resists cracking, which extends its shelf life and improves handling during transport. Athena melons grow best in full sun with consistent moisture, though watering should be reduced before harvest to enhance sweetness.
